In 2010, we were asked to provide chair based exercise classes for the Dementia and Alzheimer care units with the HPFT. This led to a County wide programme to help the nursing and Occupational therapy team provide physical activity to their patients.
The sessions consisted of a variety of seated exercises that encourage movement that can help with daily routines.
In 2012 we were then asked to work with the Adult Care Units with patients between 18-64, yet again to encourage movement during their stay, but also to help them gain confidence to join other sporting and wellbeing programmes when back in the community.

In the past 7 years of working with the HPFT, we have grown as a company, physically and mentally. The learning experience has been invaluable and we continue to work with them to encourage better movement, healthy eating, reduction in smoking, and to integrate back into the community.
